In the lab course, we discuss Sematntic Web related topics. An up-to-date listing of Bachelor and Master theses is available online.

October 21, 2005: Preliminary discussion

10:00 am: Presentation of open topics (room 3W03)

11:30 am: Discussion of assigned topics (room 3W03) (starting time updated)

We will have about 3 common progress meetings per semester. We ask you to prepare 2-3 slides (english) on your topic and the progress you reached in the meantime.

You should upload your slides ahead of the meeting using FTP to ftp://pr@ftp.deri.at. When asked for username and password, use the data provided by your supervisor.

Bachelor theses are officially administered in form of a project lab which means that Bachelor students are required to inscribe to the project lab. In case of the DERI stream, this can be done all over the year. The DERI stream responsibles administer Master theses the same way, even if Master students are not required to formally inscribe, but to attend the (about 3) meetings per semester and present their own topic. In addition, Master student need to formally apply for the Master thesis with the University using a specific form. Further information can be found on the Stuko page.
